New New New!

As you can see from above, the BBC have released new content for Series 6 including this stunning image of the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River! Along with this new image comes a brief plot outline of the ground-breaking season opener, 'The Impossible Astronaut' and 'Day of the Moon' which promises to be exciting, terrifying and above all, one of the four above will DIE.

As well as all this, Show Runner and Chief Writer Steven Moffat has answered a bundle of questions regarding the series which can be read by clicking the image!

However, to add further insult to UK fans; Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be heading to New York this week to promote the show and the series 5 boxset. The Americans seem to be getting all the fun at the moment! I hope us Brits get some time with the cast too!

Here are the plot outlines for the opening two episodes courtesy of the BBC, which are brief, but as like River Song famously says; "Spoilers!"

Episode 1: The Impossible Astronaut

Four envelopes, numbered 2, 3 and 4, each containing a date, time and map reference, unsigned, but TARDIS blue. Who sent them? And who received the missing number one? This strange summons reunites the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River Song in the middle of the Utah desert and unveils a terrible secret the Doctor's friends must never reveal to him.

Placing his life entirely in their hands, the Doctor agrees to search for the recipient of the fourth envelope - just who is Canton Everett Delaware the Third? And what is the relevance of their only other clue: 'Space 1969'? Their quest lands them - quite literally - in the Oval Office, where they are enlisted by President Nixon himself to assist enigmatic former-FBI agent Canton, in saving a terrified little girl from a mysterious spaceman.

Episode 2: Day of the Moon

The Doctor is locked in the perfect prison. Amy, Rory and River Song are being hunted down across America by the FBI. With the help of new friend and FBI-insider, Canton Everett Delaware the Third, our heroes are reunited to share their discoveries, if not their memories. For the world is occupied by an alien force who control humanity through post-hypnotic suggestion and no one can be trusted. Aided by President Nixon and Neil Armstrong's foot, the Doctor must mount a revolution to drive out the enemy and rescue the missing little girl. No-one knows why they took her. Or why they have kidnapped Amy Pond...

New DWM Covers!!

4 Limited Covers for April's 'Doctor Who' Magazine!

After a long week of waiting, the DWM Facebook page have finally broken their silence and have presented us with the FOUR new covers for the latest issue! As well as the wonderful images, the text is rather striking too boasting that a character will DIE in the series two-part opener! I didn't think my excitement level could increase but it certainly has!
The magazine is priced at £4.50 so if you buy all 4 it'll be rather expensive but I think I'm just going to get the Amy cover!

'Doctor Who' at WonderCon

'Who' Invades WonderCon!

The annual San Francisco WonderCon took place over this weekend and in between all the comic book madness was a premiere video collection from BBC America showing clips from 'The Impossible Astronaut' and Neil Gaiman's episode, 'The Doctor's Wife'. Gaiman, Toby Haynes and Mark Sheppard were all in conversation with bundles of State-side fans who were lucky enough to attend. I wish we had that here in the UK but I'm sure we'll get a treat!
You can view the whole panel conversation below, plus some exclusive BBC America interviews with Matt, Karen and Arthur on Series 6! Enjoy!

It looks like we're only going to get two DVD sets this year because of the series split which is a bit of a shame but it can't be helped!
