New New New!
As you can see from above, the BBC have released new content for Series 6 including this stunning image of the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River! Along with this new image comes a brief plot outline of the ground-breaking season opener, 'The Impossible Astronaut' and 'Day of the Moon' which promises to be exciting, terrifying and above all, one of the four above will DIE.
As well as all this, Show Runner and Chief Writer Steven Moffat has answered a bundle of questions regarding the series which can be read by clicking the image!
However, to add further insult to UK fans; Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be heading to New York this week to promote the show and the series 5 boxset. The Americans seem to be getting all the fun at the moment! I hope us Brits get some time with the cast too!
Here are the plot outlines for the opening two episodes courtesy of the BBC, which are brief, but as like River Song famously says; "Spoilers!"
Episode 1: The Impossible Astronaut
Four envelopes, numbered 2, 3 and 4, each containing a date, time and map reference, unsigned, but TARDIS blue. Who sent them? And who received the missing number one? This strange summons reunites the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River Song in the middle of the Utah desert and unveils a terrible secret the Doctor's friends must never reveal to him.Placing his life entirely in their hands, the Doctor agrees to search for the recipient of the fourth envelope - just who is Canton Everett Delaware the Third? And what is the relevance of their only other clue: 'Space 1969'? Their quest lands them - quite literally - in the Oval Office, where they are enlisted by President Nixon himself to assist enigmatic former-FBI agent Canton, in saving a terrified little girl from a mysterious spaceman.
